On-time Inventory
We guarantee a 99% fill-rate on all supplies and furniture products ordered from our site. By calculating the item, ship method, and day of the week (not including weekend days), we can accurately commit to the delivery date of the products that you have ordered. Most standard supply items that you order will be delivered to you the next business day. Most catalog furniture items will be delivered to you within three to five business days. Special orders including custom furniture and printing will be quoted at the time the order is placed on the phone.

Low Prices
We're committed to offering you great prices on our entire inventory of office supplies, furniture, computer consumables, janitorial and sanitation supplies, and custom printing. Our everyday prices can be as much as 70-80% off manufacturer's list price. We also offer volume discount programs for larger business customers. J. Thayer will not be undersold. If you find the same product available at a lower price from one of our competitors, we will match their price.

J. Thayer Company places a high premium on the order filling and shipping processes that work behind the scenes before your order reaches the truck for delivery. Our number one priority is to fill your orders error free and to deliver to your location on time every time. We have selected world class shipping partners to supplement our own delivery fleet to provide the highest level of reliability in getting your packages delivered to you when you need them.

Where We Ship
J. Thayer will ship to any location within the 50 United States. Freight to Hawaii and Alaska will be assessed as actual delivery charges from the carrier.

Standard Shipping Lead Times for Supplies, Furniture, and Special Orders
Most supply packages are delivered the next business day in major metropolitan cities following placement of your order. Some outer lying locations and smaller cities are delivered in two or three business days. Most catalog office furniture items are delivered within three to five business days. To order furniture that may need assembly and installation, or printed items, please call 1-866-USARush. Delivery of special order items including printing and contract furniture, as well as back-ordered catalog items, will vary depending on lead times quoted from the manufacturer. Special order lead times are quoted by our customer satisfaction team or sales person at the time the order is placed. We offer free delivery with no minimum order. Furniture assembly, delivery, and placement fees will be quoted separately.

Same Day Shipping
Our USARush program is available for customers in selected zip-codes throughout the contiguous 48 United States. Our rush program guarantees delivery to your location within four hours. USARush deliveries are made by pre-qualified local courier companies who provide the same-day service in their respective markets. If we fail to deliver within the four-hour window, we will credit back the entire value of your order. Our rush program is only available for standard catalog office supply items. A surcharge of $18.00 is added to all same day USARush deliveries. To place a USARush delivery, please call us at 1-866-USARush (1-866-872-7874) to determine whether your ship-to is included in our program.

Tracking Your Order
Orders for customers outside of our local delivery areas are shipped by UPS and can be tracked through their exclusive order tracking system which is linked through our website. Simply click on the UPS Tracking link on our home page, then key in the first seven numbers of your J. Thayer order (invoice) number and your ship-to zip code in the spaces provided.

Shipping Restrictions for Heavy or Oversized Items
Shipping for heavy or oversized items (those that exceed the weight or dimension restrictions of our standard carrier) will occur from time to time. We ship these items via common carrier. These carriers will utilize ground services that usually take three to seven business days to arrive. Unfortunately, tracking numbers are not always available with common carriers, but the shipper will call to arrange a convenient delivery time.

 

Returns

J. Thayer 30-day return policy

Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction. If, for any reason, you are unhappy with a standard catalog item purchased from J. Thayer, you may return it within the applicable time frame. Your purchase price will be refunded, exchanged or you will be issued a credit equal to your original purchase price. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for all standard catalog products. Special order items, which would include printing and custom furniture, cannot be returned unless defective.

All returned product must be in new condition and packed in the original manufacturer's box or container. All manuals, instructions, and accessories must be included with the item. We reserve the right to reject the return if any of the previous criteria are not met.

Return shipping charges are the sole responsibility of the purchaser, unless J. Thayer shipped the order in error, or items were delivered defective.

If you would like to return an item, please contact one of our customer service representatives. Include your packing slip number, and the item(s) and quantity to be returned, as well as a brief description of the reason for the return. We will issue a pick-up tag within 48 hours and pick up the return item between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. PST, Monday through Friday excluding holidays. Pick up times may vary based on your location.
